DIY COCKTAIL PICKS ARE PERFECT FOR A WOODLAND THEME PARTY
Make these DIY cocktail picks for a woodland party
For my daughter’s woodland-themed baby shower, we pulled out all the crafty stops. These fall cocktail picks are one of my favorite projects, and they’re amazingly easy to create.
What you’ll need for woodland DIY cocktail picks
- Cocktail picks
- Jewelry glue
- Woodland-themed items for the top, for instance acorns, beads, etc.
You will need cocktail sticks. We used plain wooden toothpicks as well as wooden skewers from the grocery store and these metal picks.
You’ll also need jewelry glue like this, and an assortment of woodland things to top the picks with. You must be sure that the bead hole is big enough to fit over your pick. We used owl beads, glass mushroom beads, wooden mushrooms, resin hedgehogs, acorn tops from the yard and an assortment of other fall-themed beads.
How to make the woodland DIY cocktail picks
To make the picks, put a small amount of glue on the pick itself and then slide the bead on. Hold it for a few seconds to let it set — jewelry glue sets fairly quickly — and then place upright to completely dry. We used a foam sheet that came from a package delivery, but you can also use a styrofoam egg carton.
We tried to make each one individual, but, of course, you could also make each one exactly the same. It’s up to you.
